How It All Started

Brief: We set out to reimagine Android.com as a mobile-first experience, evolve the brand to feel more modern, globally inclusive, and accessible—while staying true to its open, innovative spirit.

Objective: The focus was on strengthening brand loyalty and customer satisfaction, while improving the OEM handoff experience. At the same time, we aimed to raise the bar for inclusivity and accessibility across the .com platform.

Role: As Director of Product Design, I led multiple teams through deep research, visionary concepting, and delivery—partnering with executive clients to shape bold ideas into executable, future-ready solutions.

A Closer Look at the Problem

Over the last decade, Android has reached enormous popularity with more than 2.5 billion active devices around the world. This has expanded beyond phones to tablets, cars, watches, TVs and more.

As Android continues to evolve, inclusiveness and accessibility are essential ingredients to building towards a better future for its customers, as well as developer and manufacturer partners.
